This elementary school, which will serve 600 to 700 students from preschool through grade 6, has been planned for phased development.  It will replace an existing facility on the same site.  Since virtually all students are Navajo, it has been designed to incorporate references to the Indian culture.  Building composition and massing will provide a protected courtyard playground area in response to a barren, windy site.
